(KTTS News) – More information is coming out about a fiery crash that happened on I-44 earlier this morning.
A semi-truck hauling fuel crashed and caught fire around 5 a.m. on the eastbound lanes near exit 75.
A spokesperson with the Springfield Police Department says the truck was traveling eastbound on I-44 when the driver veered off the road, and overturned into the cable guard rail.
The vehicle then caught fire after it overturned.
The driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other vehicles were involved.
