Patriots in the Park
Saturday, Aug 23rd from 10-2pm

Join News Talk KSGF at Fassnight Park in Springfield on Saturday, August 23rd from 10am to 2pm.

There will be activities for the kids including three legged races and potato sack races.  There will even be a water balloon toss for everyone!

Lunch will begin around noon.  Smoked pork sandwiches courtesy of Greene County Freight and Double E Ranch will be available for a small donation to the Air and Military Museum of the Ozarks.  There will also be tea, lemonade on hand courtesy of Hiland dairy.  Food will be available for approximately the first 100 people and is first come first serve.  If you want additional food you are more than welcome to bring your own sides and desserts and feel free to bring extra to share with new friends!  This is an old fashioned community picnic so don't feel obligated to eat what we provide- feel free to bring your own picnic basket or cooler with a meal for your family!  There will be grills available for community use.

Around 1pm we will convene together for an inspirational message and a flag retirement ceremony from Cub Scott Pack 129 (Pleasant Hope and Halfway.)  You are encouraged to bring a flag if you have one you would like to retire.

The military will also be on hand to show you their cool vehicles.  Make plans to attend Patriots in the Park at Fassnight Park from 10am to 2pm.

Picnic blankets and lawn chairs are strongly encouraged.  Click here for a map to Fassnight Park.  Due to limited parking availability if you are not handicapped you are encouraged to park in the Parkview High school parking areas and walk to the park.
