A Route 66 staple is coming back to Springfield.
The iconic restaurant Red’s Giant Hamburg closed its doors 35 years ago. On August 5th, a new Red’s location will be opening in Springfield.
The new Red’s Giant Hamburg will be on Sunshine between Kansas Expressway and Scenic.
The owner says the inside will feature more than 700 photos of old Route 66 and Red’s life. The outside will be complete with a replica of the Giant Hamburg sign.
