A couple from Springfield has filed a lawsuit after their stillborn son’s remains went missing at Cox South Hospital last month.
An attorney for Brianna and Kyle Dudley tells the Springfield News-Leader the couple believes their son’s remains were either thrown away or possibly stolen by a Cox contractor.
The attorney says police have talked with a man seen in video surveillance, but he has cooperated and no remains have been recovered.
Police are still investigating.
