A woman who was injured in a house fire in Springfield last week died from her injuries Sunday night.
Springfield Fire Department crews responded to a house fire in the 2900 block of East Belmont on January 2.
While firefighters fought the flames, search crews located Kathryn J. Thompson, who had been overcome by smoke.
This is the first fire fatality of 2020 in Springfield. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
