Drury University Says Neck Gaiters No Longer Acceptable Face Masks On Campus

A study released by Duke has Drury University making a change to its face mask policy.

Neck gaiters will not be considered acceptable face coverings on campus.

In the tweet, the school asks students to wear a different form of mask.

Researchers say wearing a neck gaiter, such as ones made with a polyester spandex material, could be worse than no mask at all because it allows more air droplets to come through the mask compared to other options.

The school says the decision was made with consultation with the Springfield-Greene County Health Department.
