The city of Springfield has a plan to Renew Jordan Creek in downtown Springfield.
The plan would reduce flooding and improve water quality.
It would also provide a place for people to enjoy greenspace.
Tim Rosenbury, Director of Quality of Place Initiatives, says the plan would bring the creek back to life after being underground for almost a hundred years.
Springfield City Council has approved spending $6.8 million on the project, but that’s just a start.
