War on Ukraine:

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared war on Ukraine.

Russia has invaded Ukraine with an all-out attack from north, south and east taking place simultaneously. Missiles and bombs struck targets from east to west, destroying military bases, airports and ammo dumps.

Nick plays an audio exchange between State Department spokesperson Ned Price  and The Associated Press’ diplomatic reporter, Matt Lee. You can hear the audio below.

People’s Convoy:

American truckers are launching The People’s Convoy to protest COVID-19 mandates. On Monday, February 28th, the convoy will depart from the Vinita, OK area and will travel up I-44 for an overnight stay in Sullivan, MO.

Angela Romine:

Springfield City Council member, Angela Romine, announced earlier this week that she will be resigning from the council. Romine will be running for State Senate District 30 seat, which is currently represented by State Senator Lincoln Hough. Angela joins us this morning to talk about why she decided to run for the seat.

MO Race:

A Democrat who was once a Republican has filed to run for Congress in southwest Missouri. John Woodman says he was a Republican for 35 years until he took on a project in 2016, spending the next five years developing a learning course called “How We Fix America.”

Charles Taylor:

The Springfield area Chamber of Commerce has endorsed two candidates for Springfield School Board, one of which being Charles Taylor. Nick reads a letter from a citizen sent in 2021 about comments Taylor made about certain parents.

Mainstream Media:
CBS News is being ripped by critics for blaming increased gas prices, inflation and supply-chain issues on Russia and the crisis in Ukraine rather than the Biden administration’s handling of the economy.
