(KTTS News) — Closing arguments start today in the murder trial for Rebecca Ruud.
Ruud says her biological daughter, 16-year-old Savannah Leckie, killed herself, apparently after a drug overdose.
But one inmate who spent time behind bars with Ruud says the woman admitted putting drugs in Leckie’s Kool-Aid.
KY3 says Ruud told a second inmate Leckie wasn’t dead when she went to burn her body, so she had to beat her to death with a rake.
