(KTTS News) — Hall of Fame Springfield sports broadcaster Art Hains is making some progress as he tries to recover from complications of the West Nile Virus.
Family members say Hains is able to speak again, but he still has some paralysis and needs a respirator to breathe at night.
The insurance company wants to move him from a rehab hospital in Nebraska to a skilled nursing facility.
Hains’ son tells KY3 he doesn’t know if there’s one in Missouri that will accept a patient on a ventilator.
