(KTTS News) – One man was arrested after breaking into multiple homes, naked, and attempted to assault several people over the weekend.
The incidents happened in the Rountree and Delaware neighborhoods.
Officers responded early Sunday morning to a burglary in progress in the 1600 block of East Delmar.
Police say that 41-year-old Gene Ferguson broke into a residence through an unlocked door.
Ferguson stood over the victim naked until they woke up. He then attempted to assault the victim. He then took off and was caught several houses down from the incident.
Springfield police say similar incidents are currently under investigation as well.
Ferguson is being held in the Greene County Jail, and is facing burglary and sexual abuse charges.
