(KTTS News) — An estimated 65,000 people attended this year’s Birthplace of Route 66 Festival in Springfield.
A city spokeswoman says organizers were expecting record attendance but that didn’t happen because of heavy rain and extreme heat.
This year’s attendance was similar to 2019 and 2022.
