A new year brings transformation to the Springfield restaurant landscape.
Ebbets Field will close this week.
The sports bar and patio is located at 1027 E. Walnut St.
Rising labor and food costs, and changing trends in consumer dining-out preferences, helped drive the decision.
Ebbets is one of more than a dozen well-known local restaurants ending their runs in 2023-24.
“We appreciate and thank Springfield for the years of support, and our loyal staff for all their hard work,” says Brad
Gebhard of Bryan Restaurants LLC.
“We are exploring several options for the future, which include the possibility of another restaurant-bar,” Gebhard
adds.
To help customers say goodbye to the beloved restaurant, Ebbets Sports Bar & Patio will offer daily specials from now
through Jan. 7.
