(Springfield’s Talk 104.1) – A bear was seen in downtown Ava on Sunday afternoon.
Photographs of the black bear were taken around 1:30 PM near the post office.
The Missouri Department of Conservation believes the black bear is about two years old and around 80 pounds.
The MDC says the bear population is growing around 9% annually throughout the state.
