The National Weather Service in Springfield (NWS) has issued an ice storm warning for two counties in the KSGF listening area.
Those two counties include Webster County and Wright County.
We may see total snow and sleet accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of one-quarter to three-quarters of an inch across much of the area, with lesser amounts to the west toward Marshfield and Rogersville.
A flash freeze is also possible Sunday evening into Sunday night as temperatures fall rapidly.
This warning is in effect from 6 PM Saturday to 6 AM Monday.
Roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Significant ice accumulation on power lines and tree limbs may cause widespread and long-lasting power outages.
