Rolla’s City Council held a discussion on whether to draw up an ordinance that would make the city a “Sanctuary City for the Unborn.”
The ordinance would give people the right to argue that Missouri’s Amendment 3, which re-established abortion across the state, must work within federal laws that ban the mailing of drugs to be used to produce an abortion.
City leaders did not vote on the issue on Monday. A proposed ordinance may be brought before the council in two weeks.
