WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Stacy Dixon was tapped by the Trump transition team to temporarily serve as acting director of national intelligence, Politico reported citing two people familiar.
Dixon served as principal deputy of national intelligence since August 2021.
Trump has selected Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democrat, to serve as director of national intelligence, which is a position that has to be confirmed by Senate. The Senate has not yet scheduled a hearing for Gabbard.
