(Reuters) – The Washington headquarters of the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will be closed for the week of February 10-14, according to an internal email, adding to the confusion facing the agency’s staff in the days since representatives of billionaire Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency gained access.
Adam Martinez, the CFPB’s chief operating officer, told all staff that employees and contractors are to work remotely unless otherwise instructed by newly installed acting director Russell Vought.
