(KTTS News) – The Missouri Route 413 bridge on Sunshine Street, near the Scenic Avenue and Sunshine intersection, will be replaced soon.
Construction is slated to start in November.
MoDOT says the bridge will be closed for around four months.
The Route 413 bridge project manager says that plans are still underway, but the ending date of the contract has been extended.
The project is set to cost $5,888,000.
The new bridge will add/improve pedestrian facilities and sidewalk on both sides of the roadway from Scenic Avenue to Marion Avenue.
MoDOT says the bridge has over 26,000 cars traveling it daily.
It was built in 1963.
Specific detours will be given when it gets closer to construction beginning.
