(KTTS News) — A former Missouri State University student who was expelled for sending threatening emails to employees has been charged with making terroristic threats.
Court records say Aaron Brown, 50, from Springfield sent emails while he was a student referencing mass shootings.
He was ordered placed on a 96-hour psychiatric hold for a mental health check in June 2023.
After he was released, Missouri State expelled him as a student in September 2023 when his condition worsened.
Court records say he sent threatening emails in November 2023, eventually leading to charges.
