(KTTS News) — A woman who led Nixa Police on a chase for more than eight miles last week has been charged.

Court records say Jessica Dawn Cherry, 40, from Arkansas used a stolen ID at the Blu Current Credit Union in Nixa to try to cash a stolen check worth nearly $3,700.

A Nixa Police officer tried to contact her, but Cherry tried to hit the officer with her vehicle.

She took off, hitting speeds around 110 miles per hour.

She was finally stopped on Highway 65 around the 34.5 mile marker.

Cherry was wanted on a probation violation out of Arkansas.

She’s being held in the Christian County Jail without bond.
