Road work on southbound Highway 65 in Springfield is moving south.

Starting Thursday morning, crews will close southbound lanes of Highway 65 between Battlefield and James River Freeway.

MoDOT says the rebuild project is two days ahead of schedule.

Southbound Highway 65 between Sunshine and Battlefield will be open to one lane of traffic starting Thursday.
