A Webster County sheriff’s deputy suffered non life-threatening injuries from a pursuit early Wednesday morning that started in Rogersville and ended in north Springfield, with speeds reaching more than 100 miles per hour.
Four people are in custody.
Sheriff Roye Cole tells KTTS News the chase started just after midnight when the suspects fled in a vehicle with a trailer while deputies were trying to detain them.
They drove off, hitting one of the cars and knocking it into one of the deputies, who fired at the vehicle.
The deputy was treated at a local hospital and released early Wednesday morning.
The suspects’ vehicle went on to hit three police vehicles in all.
They fled on foot after crashing in Springfield and were all in custody by 6 a.m.
Witnesses say there is significant damage to a Rogersville police car.
