Olympics:

Canada defeated U.S. women’s soccer on Monday and took away its hopes of a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

Simone Biles is set to compete on the balance beam after pulling out of three individual finals at the Tokyo Olympics.

HBO “Real Time” host Bill Maher took aim at the Wokeness of the Tokyo Olympics. You can listen to the audio clip below.

Joe Biden:

During a meeting, President Biden was handed a note that said “Sir, you have something on your chin.”

Biden then ate whatever was on his chin.

Biden also claimed that he use to drive an 18-wheeler truck.

Joe also made a very confusing comment about wildfires out west… Biden said “You know, I come from the state of Delaware— we had more acreage burn last year than the state of Delaware and Maryland combined. COMBINED.”

Riots:

Nick shares a piece from The Federalist to talk about the stark difference between 2020 riots vs. what happened at the U.S. Capitol.

COVID-19:

The Biden administration offered rare condemnation of The Washington Post as well as The New York Times over tweets that hype the spread of the coronavirus among vaccinated Americans.

Aviary Cafe:

French-inspired restaurant, Aviary Cafe, has been in the news quite a bit lately. Last month, multiple employees walked out/didn’t show up on the busiest day of the week.

The employees said they walked out because they were working 65 hours a week and were underpaid. The media covered the story, but they didn’t cover the WHOLE story. And more importantly, they didn’t fact-check what the former employees were saying.

Catherine with Aviary Cafe joins Nick this morning to clear the air, to tell her side, and to fill the holes in the story that the media left out.

Vitae Foundation:

The Vitae Foundation will be hosting their annual pro-life event on Friday, August 27 at the White River Conference Center. Doors will open at 6:30 PM. Dinner & the program will start at 7:00 PM. Tickets start at $75.

John O’Leary will be the guest speaker this year at the Vitae Foundation event.

As a curious nine-year-old, John O’Leary played with fire and gasoline and created a massive explosion in his home, burning 100 percent of his body. He was given only a one percent chance to live. This epic story of survival is one that embraces life and its importance when the odds are stacked against you.

MO Vaccines:

The New York Post has an article about those getting the COVID-19 vaccine in Missouri… Saying that some people in MO are dressing up in disguise for their  vaccines to protect themselves from blowback from family and friends.
