(KTTS News) — We’re expecting an announcement later today on the future of Hammons Field.
The Springfield Cardinals will hold a press conference at 3 p.m.
Fans are invited to attend.
Springfield businessman John Q. Hammons funded the ballpark, which opened in 2004.
The Cardinals played their first season there in 2005.
There has been an ongoing legal battle over the future of upgrades to the stadium.
