JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe officially kicked off his campaign for Missouri governor last night in front of hundreds of supporters in Jefferson City, Missouri.

“I’m running for governor to secure Missouri’s future,” said Kehoe. “I’ve spent my entire life finding solutions to the challenges I faced and left things better than I found them,” said Kehoe. “It’s why I went to work when I was just a kid to help my mom put food on the table. It’s why I turned around a manufacturing company in rural Missouri instead of closing it, and it’s why I opened my own successful small business. It’s the drive that powers me through the hard work of being a first-generation farmer and running a production cattle ranch. And it’s why I ran for office in the first place: to bring a small businessman’s perspective to state government.”

At the kickoff, the Kehoe campaign released its first advertisement, “Living Proof”. In the values-driven ad, Kehoe appears in front of his childhood home in North St. Louis City, highlighting his working-class background and the hard work that led him becoming a successful small businessman, entrepreneur, first-generation farmer, and Missouri’s 48th Lieutenant Governor.

“Our state has a bright future, and I am the only candidate for governor who is ready on day one to make our communities safer, control spending by running our state like a business, protect our freedoms, and secure Missouri’s future by fighting for our shared commonsense Missouri family values,” said Kehoe.

Prior to the kickoff, Kehoe has racked up a lengthy endorsement list by thirteen of Missouri’s leading conservative pro-business, pro-agriculture, and pro-public safety organizations, including the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, Missouri Soybean Association, Missouri Agribusiness Association, Missouri Corn Growers Association, Missouri Association of Automobile Dealers, Missouri Forest Products Association, Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association, Associated General Contractors of Missouri, SITE Improvement Association, Missouri Limestone Producers Association, American Council of Engineering Companies of Missouri, Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters, and the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police.
